Our staff comes from various backgrounds and each brings with them a vast knowledge of skills and treatment techniques, which makes this a truly unique practice/clinic.


Kobus was born and raised in South Africa and graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelors degree in physiotherapy in 1996. He then started to work there at a mining hospital in 1997, which included a lot of orthopaedic work. Hand rehabilitation was also a very large part of physiotherapy in the mining industry. He worked there for 4 years before he moved to Swift Current, SK, in 2001. He then joined the team at Central Avenue Physiotherapy and has been since April of 2001. He has since added acupuncture to his list of skills and enjoys the work and community of Swift Current immensely. Me He has been co-owner now of Central Avenue Physiotherapy since August 2006. He also became a Canadian citizen in May 2011 and has made Canada his new home.


Cindy was born and raised around the Yorkton area. In 1995 she convocated from the University of Saskatchewan with her bachelor of science in physical education(with Great Distinction). In 1996 she graduated (with distinction) with a bachelor of science in Physical Therapy. She worked in an orthopaedic based practice in Regina and Yorkton before moving to Swift Current in 2001. She has been co-owner of Central Avenue Physiotherapy since 2006. She has extensive experience in manual therapy, acupuncture and dry needling.


Rae was born and raised in a small community in Southeast Sask. In 1991 she convocated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. For the next six years she was employed at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current. After moving to Alberta, she spent four years in private practice and two in the hospital setting. In 2004 she joined the team at Central Avenue Physiotherapy. She is certified in acupuncture and has completed the orthopaedic levels of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, receiving her Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy. This fulfills the requirements for Fellowship in the Canadian Association of Manipulative Therapists(FCAMT). She has also mentored other physiotherapists working through their orthopaedic levels. Volunteer time is spent as the trainer for the AAA Diamond Energy Wildcats.


Trent was born in Prince Albert, SK. and was raised on a farm near Kinistino, SK. He convocated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2006, with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Trent is also accredited with being a Certified Exercise Physiologist. He has worked as a personal trainer and also spent time at a natural health center. Trent has a personal interest in bodybuilding, power lifting, and performance nutrition. He has worked at Central Avenue Physiotherapy since the beginning of 2011.


Jessica grew up on a farm near Abbey, SK. She attended Medicine Hat College in 2007 to obtain certification as a Registered Massage Therapist (NHPC), and went on to the University of Lethbridge to complete her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, as well as her Exercise Physiologist Certification (CSEP). Upon convocation in 2012, she began work as a Rehab Specialist with Alberta Health Services in Edmonton. Jessica and her fiancée made the move back to their Saskatchewan roots in July 2013, where Jessica joined the Central Avenue Physiotherapy team as an Exercise Therapist. Jessica's experiences working with both healthy and clinical populations have given her a well-rounded approach to therapeutic exercise. She is so proud to call herself a 'Saskie' once again, and has been welcomed with open-arms by the Central Ave Physio team!

Our receptionists create a warm, friendly and caring environment for our clients when they walk through the clinic doors, helping  the clients feel welcome.


Wendy was born and raised in Swift Current, SK. She is the Office Manager and Administrator at Central Avenue Physiotherapy. She is a veteran in the administration department and the management of accounts and billing. Wendy was and remains a key cornerstone in the creation and continuation of Central Avenue Physiotherapy over the past fifteen years.


Vicky was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She moved to Swift Current to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city. She could not be happier with her choice. Since her move she has found a job she loves, great new friends and has become an active member of the Swift Current Little Theatre. She has been working at Central Avenue Physiotherapy in Administration since January 2009. She is very excited to be a part of the Central Avenue Physiotherapy team!
